Fried Cod Fish & Baby Broccoli

Ingredients:

For the Fish:

  • 2 cod fillets (about 8 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

For the Baby Broccoli:

  • 8 oz Baby Broccoli
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

Prepare the Cod Fish:

  1. Season the cod fillets with salt and pepper.
  2. Dredge each fillet in flour, dip in beaten egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Fry the fillets for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Cook the Baby Broccoli:

  1. Heat olive oil in a separate skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add Baby Broccoli and cook for 5–7 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve:

  1. Plate the fried cod fish alongside the sautéed Baby Broccoli.
  2. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
